Irish Nephrology Society Sinead Kinsella Educational Bursary

Applications are invited for the 2022 INS Sinead Kinsella Educational Bursary. This has been kindly sponsored by Mundipharma and there will be one award of up to €20,000.

Criteria for application:

Funding is open to any current Specialist Registrar / Registrar in Nephrology and to those who at the time of application are in their first year following completion of their SpR training. The funding may be used to provide salary support, travel and living costs and/or research costs. The research may be conducted either in Ireland or abroad. The successful applicant must undertake a fulltime research position of at least 6 months duration. A condition of acceptance of the grant is that the successful applicant reports their resulting research findings at the INS spring meeting within 2 years of receipt of funding.

How will applications be assessed?

Applications will be assessed on the originality, quality and clinical relevance of the proposal, the feasibility of the overall research project and the potential for a positive impact on the applicant’s long term career development.
